This view look at the social world in which an individual lives and from which they learn skills, values, beliefs, attitudes, and other information. It is grounded in social ills that include: poverty discrimination, and stressors. Individuals who experience any of these are susceptible to develop a mental disorder or display abnormal behaviour.
In many societies, persons are observed to be eating out of garbage bins due to insufficiency and hopelessness. Proactive measures would involve identifying and addressing the problem so as to minimize abnormality.
